You won't put them down

The best series! I loved it and can't wait to get the Power of Three.

This is a good series, but consider the audience.

I am enjoying this series. It is written from a variety of perspectives, but the storyline focuses a lot on feelings, like falling in love or overcoming jeolousy. I can't see this story appealing to a young boy. My son is reading the first one now, and he thinks that there is too much dialog and that it is a bit confusing. I think that he probably won't want to read the rest of them.

I'm enjoying the series, but I can see that it is really geared towards girls, despite the title. I'd also like to caution parents that this isn't a cute story about cats in a safe environment. It is an epic about a clan of cats who mirror human behavior, the good and the bad. It explores concepts of love, betrayal, death, envy, insecurity and friendship. I was quite surprised when a kit (kitten) died, and even more surprised when another did as well.

The story has a lot of substance, but I recommend that you read it first so that you are prepared for and can adequately discuss some of the more difficult subjects with your children.

Warriors rocks!

I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE fan of Warriors, so I bought this box set. I was delighted when it showed up at the door (I had bought the box set and Warriors 6 in the first series: The Darkest Hour in hardcover). But when I opened the box I wasn't too pleased with the state of these books. Edges were crinkled, coloring was weak in some areas, and there was the ocasional splash of ink on one of the pages. Though I am disappointed with Amazon's handling, I loved the books! Thank god for Erin Hunter!

Deep Issues

I got hooked on the Warrior series when I found a couple of books from the first series at a local book fair. I am in my 60's and when I finish the books I use them to pay the teenager who feeds our cats and picks up the mail and news papers when we are out of town. Often I write little notes about what I liked in the particular books. In the past year I have been reading many books on native american history. I don't know if Erin Hunter had intended to write a parable about the impact of the European immigration on native populations or the environmental impact of humans on nature, but she did. I liked the first series better than the New Prophecy. I was disappointed in the Magna books primarily because I did not realize that they were graphic novels and I prefer words. I usually devour a Warrior book within the first 24 hours that I possess it. I am ordering sets of the first 2 collections to give to a 13 year old cat lover who is currently in a shelter for homeless families this Christmas. I am sure that she will enjoy them.

Warriors

Erin Hunter is an excellent writer. The books hold your interest and makes you want to complete the series as soon as possibl. I have shared the series with my sister-in-law and she also is intriged with the series. The books are easy read and are good for all reading ages. My age is 71 years. I am curently reading the new prophecy, book 2, Moonrise. Having finished the first set of Erins books I am wanting to complete all three series of Erins books. Thankyou Erin an Keep them coming.
