great story

i loved this story when i was a child so i bought it for my daughter. she just loves the story. the person i got it from had rips in about 5 pages. but it is a great story any way.

Great Book for Grandsons

This book, "Where The Wild Things Are" is perfect for young boys with their vivid imaginations. My two grandsons love it and want me to read it over and over again.

This book satisifies their need for adventure stories and teaches moral lessons at the same time without them even realizing it.

Favorite Children's Book

Where the Wild Things Are is among my top 3 all-time favorite children's books. When we bought it for my daughter, she immediately took to it and demanded it night after night. Re-encountering the book after 30+ yrs, I was surprised at my vivid recollection of the singular impression the book made on my when my grade school librarian first read it to me, as well as how familiar all the details of the book immediately were...from the incredibly imaginative story, great pictures, to the amazing prose (my favorite: "and in and out of weeks through day and night") and of course the ending ("and it was still hot")

There's some children's books that get dull to read night after night, but this one never does.
