I Don't Hate Audible

I love Joseph Delaney. I ended up buying The Spooks Apprentice from Amazon in CD form. My MP3 device was not supported by Audible. I tried just downloading to my Windows 7 PC, but I did not have much success. So be aware that Audible does not work with Windows 7 as of 10/30/2009.

Audible's tech support answered quickly to say that my MP3 device was not supported. I still have not been able to listen to my book at this point. Hopefully I will get a resolution soon. I'll let you know how things work out.

The tech support at Audible is very good. My device is not supported, but I can listen with iTunes. I can also burn a CD with Audible's software, or with iTunes. So I will change my review to 4 stars.

I also have to say that Audible is Windows 7 compatible. My problems were just a learning curve.

a great read

I'm starting the 6th book and have enjoyed all of Mr. Delaney's books so far. Yeah, I'm probably too old, but the kid in me still finds them entertaining and it's nice to read literature with out the usual garbage.

Love It!!!

I'VE READ BOOKS 1,2,3,4, AND I'm reading 5. I can honestly say that this book is one of his best that I've read. I think that all ages will enjoy this book. I'm not an adult I'm 13 years old. Most of these reviews are written by adults and if you want to read a book and enjoy it this is it! But read from book 1 and on don't skip. If you skip you will be missing out. This is just another one of his books you can't put down. After you read the first book you'll read the second and so on. I think hat this book is for all ages. But you need to know that these are not scary books. They are just creepy. I love it!! And if you want a book you can read and it's not a chore this is it!! I LOVE IT!!

My spine is freezing from the chilles!

The plot is just so good. More types of withes (the witch assassin, winged lamia witches, seeing visions, talking through mirrors), monsterous characters, and the main bad guy for the story has been revealed (and boy, what a choice!) I loved it, more action, suspense, and character development. Anoter great book.

4th Book of a Wonderful Series

I always get excited when I find that Delaney has written another book for the Last Apprentice series. I also get worried. How can he write about the same thing and have it not get boring? Well Delaney pulls it off every time. I am always on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book. He has a wonderful way of writing that doesn't slow down a bit. I have loved every book in this series (including this one). My 2 kids love them as well.
This time the Spook and Tom do not have to fight a witch or two but instead three whole covens. That sounds bad enough but put in the Fiend as well... let's just say they have a lot of ground to cover. On top of that Tom finds himself alone many times and having to put to test what the Spook has taught him. Can such a short apprenticeship and his wits be enough? Read the book and find out. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
