Sue Grafton rocks!
Love her books and Judy Kaye is an awesome narrator - she really fits the main character at least in my mind she does.
K is for Killer a novel by Sue Grafton
I received the book yesterday & I am pleased with it, the only thing is the price. You gave me a price of $7 & some change then you debited $10 and some change. I would like to know WHY. I would like to order more books but until I understand why & how you came up with your price I don't intend to order anotherthing from Amazon. thank you & I look forward to hearing from you. Another fun little mystery
I can't help but love these books! Not only is anti-heroine
Kinsey
Milhone the bee's knees, but I enjoy those opportunities to see a more sensitive side beyond the fast-talking Private I.
In this particular mystery, Kinsey innocently tracks down a missing relative for the reading of a will. But the long-lost brother is quickly murdered. The answers lie in the family's dark secrets and the younger day pranks of all the brothers.
Not only was it another well-done mystery, but I found several aspects of it more emotional than usual. And I have to say I didn't mind.
Yay for Kinsey!

One of the Best...
M is for
Malice
is one of the better books so far. Not only is there a compelling mystery, but we also get a visit from someone in
Kinsey
's past. I'm reading M, N and O in the three in one version, and there is a note from Sue Grafton about the time warp the character of Kinsey is caught in. I find myself wondering why Kinsey isn't using cell phones, computers, etc. and the author explains that since the time from each story is only a few months, not a year as the books come out, Kinsey is still in the 80's.
I read N before M
The Margin
More surprises in this one.
Millhone
discovers a cousin she hasn't had any contact with in twenty years living near by. The cousin, an attorney, is working on settling a family estate, the only hang-up is a missing family member that must be present at the settlement, according to the will. Millhone finds the missing family member, advises him of the settlement requirement. He shows up at the family estate and within three days he is dead. The mystery unfolds as characters with a motive, although wrongly placed, begin to surface.
Marvin Wiebener, author of THE MARGIN and the soon to be released THE MORIAH RUSE.

"M" is for money. Lots of it. "M" is for Malek Construction, the $40 million company that grew out of modest soil to become one of the big three in California and, uniquely, remains in family hands. Eighteen years ago, one of the sons of the family went missing. Now "M" is for
Millhone
, hired to trace that missing black sheep. Though
Kinsey
Millhone succeeds in her search, this prodical son will find no welcome at his family's table. And, in the all-too-common outcome of familial hate "M" winds up standing for murder.
