Great for kids and adults!
This book and The Hobbit are the only books I know of that you can buy for your child and enjoy them as much if not more than them. It's a pure delight and will make you laugh and feel like a kid again. It's one of my all time favorite books and Teddy Roosevelt's as well. A true classic for young and old alike.
Ratty, Mole and Toad
Wind
In The
Willows
is my favorite children's book and one of my favorite books for adults. The three main characters will forever be a model for any group of friends who have read the novel. Who would play Mr. Toad? is one of my favorite questions when the story comes up in conversation. Or with a group of friends, let the group identify each character in their friends.
Chapter Six, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn still gives me a thrill and I have read it at least ten times, several times to my sisters.
Oh, we are all over 65 years of age.
A book for all ages for sure. Loaded with the English love of home and nesting, of good fellowship, of good food. And adventures galore.

Straighten Things Out!
I don't care whether you publish this; I do care that you get things straightened out. You have the same reviews appearing with two DIFFERENT editions of "The
Wind
in the
Willows
." One is the Centennial edition with the illustations of E.H. Shephard and one is the Everyman's Children's
Classics
edition with the illustrations of Arthur Rackham. What will be VERY important to some readers (like me) is that one reviewer points out that a substantial amount of "Bowdlerization" has taken place -- I assume in only ONE of the two editions. All references to guns and knives have been deleted, and a whole chapter dealing with the Deity has been cut out. I will want the unabridged edition -- which is it?!

A classic of magical fancy and enchanting wit, this children's tale follows the adventures of an intrepid quartet of heroes-Mole, Water Rat, Badger, and the incorrigible Toad.
