A Good Collection

A well put together collection...well packaged and looks good on the shelf...
Now I need to find the time to read all of it!!

Calvin & Hobbes is the best

I purchased this for my mother who was very sad when the strip stopped many years ago. I gave it to her yesterday and she loved it! And now I have something great to read when I visit.

Perfect Complete Compilation

If you are a fan of Calvin and Hobbes or used to be one (like me) you will enjoy this amazing collection. Complete as in every strip published is here....

My son now 11 loves Calvin (unfortunately I see a little of Calvin in him) and reads me the strips while I relax and go back in time. Beautiful presentation lets us keep it in the family room and we take out a volume whenever in the mood.

Bottom line - if you love Calvin & Hobbes - this is a must! I hope you read this soon because the price today 11/24/2009 is $50 less than any other price I've seen here or anywhere else!

The Complete Calvin & Hobbes

Great for ages 5 to 75. Anyone who needs a good laugh will get a kick out of these books.

Sewn not glued

I just purchased this set to give my family for Christmas. After reading some comments about the bindings being glued, I considered returning the set. When I closely inspected my set, I see they are sewn but the signatures(bundles of pages) are small and there are no head and tail bands. The first and last signatures are also not reinforced -something I think needful in such large heavy books.

Perhaps they changed the bindings after so many duds in the earlier sets.

I purchased McMeel's Far Side set some years ago and that set has stood up well to regular use.

This set is beautiful and I will enjoy introducing my family to one of my favorite comic strips. They will learn that Calvin is not that little urinating urchin depicted on so many car windows.
