One of our all time favorites!!

We love this one.....my almost 3 year old took it out of the library a year ago and after renewing it twice, we bought it. It is always in the favorites pile, nice sweet rhyme with a little humor.

Children's book

My wife and I read a book to our young child every night before bed and prayer time. This book is in the rotation. If you're looking for a relatively short, quite clever and entertaining book, this book is an excellent choice for an infant to probably a four year old. Because our child is still quite young, my wife and I probably enjoy this book more than they do (It's that entertaining). Sandra Boynton's 'Going to bed book' is also a must have in this same category... you will not be disappointed in purchasing both of these books. I actually purchased a couple of extras of this book to give as gifts when the opportunity arises (we like it that much).

Love this book!

My daughter received this book when she was about 1 1/2 years old and still loves it at age 3. Hearing the Duck sing "Quack, Quack, Quack" or Wooly, the little lamb, say things like "Yuck" when the cat licks his face all over used to make her really laugh. Now she just loves the entire storyline and is always happy to see Wooly's mom return home in the end to tuck him in. There's nothing scary about the storyline and the rhythm of the lines makes it a nice bedtime story. Just bought two copies as presents and was very happy to find a board book version.

Great rhyming text, illustrations so so

My 2 year old and I love this book. She caught on so quickly she sits and "reads" it to herself almost word for word. I had hoped the illustrations wouldn't be as crude as they are, I like a crisper illustration but my daughter could care less, she just loves the book!

A must have for your toddler library so I'd recommend that hardbound, not the paperback available on Amazon.

Fun For Young & Old

My grandson and I have had loads of fun reading this at bedtime. It is a really fun read for a very young reader. The illustrations are a blast, too. Honestly, I don't know who loved this more, him or I!
