Good info, quick

Solid info in nice little quantums. A good supplement to a textbook for internship, helpful on rounds, would not recommend for ABSITE study however.

I was looking for a book that summarizes all the most important facts about surgery. The first time I saw this book was during my observership rotation.I remembered when a surgery resident showed me this book and the advantages of having it. I realized it was the most appropriate moment to buy it. It served me a lot during my rotation, I responded quickly and with confidence to all the questions from the attendings. It just not also shows the basic but the complex surgical questions and clinical scenarios the residents face everyday. I highly recommend this book for any student or resident who wants to improve their surgical knowledge and diagnosis.

Caveat for med students

As a fresh 3rd year med student starting his first rotation, which happened to be surgery, I quickly realized this book is leaps and bounds ahead of what we need to know. Unfortunately, the comments on the back of the book make it seem suitable for medical students but this book is clearly for surgical interns/residents.

Surgery Resident Review

This book is designed for surgical residents. Medical students should do well with a student oriented text and the little Surgical Recall.

Residents on the other hand will find this to be a useful review especially before the ABSITE.
