Unique calendar

Based on the fact that we have enjoyed our 2009 "1,000 Places to See Before You Die," we ordered the 2010 version. We know we'll be happy with it. It's informative and educational. We couldn't be happier with our choice. We would heartily recommend this book!

Beautiful Pictures Plus Quizzes, Quotes, Trivia

1000 Places to See Before You Die Page-A-Day Calendar features 313 pages full color photographs of amazing destinations. In addition to pictures, it also furnishes delightful quizzes, quotes, and trivia.

For example: a nightscape picture of Gateway Arch in St. Louis adorns Saturday 2 January & Sunday 3 January, 2010 page (weekend is combined on one page). Above it, this multiple-choice question is provided:

Soaring 630 feet above the Mississippi River, the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri, is the masterful work of which well known architect?

It's a great fun to start a day realizing that our world is full of beautiful places. Makes me want to pack my bag and go there.

Awesome Book!

I absolutely love this book! Of course I also love to travel which makes my interest in this book even greater. I found that have still have (as of the writing of this review) about 900 more placs to visit before I "move on".

The book gives excellent overview of a lot of places and is a great place to start when looking for somewhere new to visit. You won't get everything you need to know about a certain locale but you will get enough to get you going.

I highly recommend this book if you like to travel or or are thinking of going somewhere but you just don't know where.
