It Works Ladies!

I had been researching pregnancy and gender selection online for sometime now, so I knew the Shettle's method before I even got the book. at the library. I had a gut feeling that it was the way to go for us to balance our family by trying for a little girl.
My husband and I finally put it into the correct practice in May and amazingly enough I got pregnant after the very first time using the "four day span" Except After 2 days I had an *O* to make sure that the #more hardy# X sperm made it up to my birthing canal! we tried it one time before that in April minus one of the tips and so I missed ovulation.
I think that most women's problem getting pregnant is they just don't know when they ovulate. Timing is absolutely EVERYTHING! Whether you are interested in sex selection or not, I totally recommend that you read this book just for the tips on how to tell you are ovulating alone.
It seems farfetched at first glance, but really, it has been scentifically proven, there are hundreds of success stories on the internet, and Dr. Shettles is a pioneer of women's fertility.
He was the very first man to discover that the X and Y sperm are different! Many women have found success with his method and swear by it.
I am now one of those women as I got pregnant right away using the method for a girl. When I find out what I am having in a few months from now, I just KNOW it will be my little princess. I am VERY excited and have already recommended this book to two family members and one friend.
The book was excellent I give it 5 stars!
Good luck Ladies!!! Have Faith!!! It Works!!! :D

PS.. If you are one of the people that tried for a certain sex and didn't get it just make sure that the temperature you attempted it in was appropriate, and also, that it's not in your family history to just have one sex of a baby. Those things play a HUGE part.

Well written, incredibly informative....whether it works or not!

My husband and I haven't starting trying to conceive yet, but what an awesome resource when we do! We'd love to swing the odds a bit (although we'd be thrilled with a healthy baby of either gender) and this is a well-written explanation of the biology behind the practice of choosing your baby's gender. I have a science background, and I greatly appreciate research-based data and Dr. Shettles' book provides just that. Its not anecdotal, its not superstition or voodoo, its real research. This book, combined with Toni Weschler's Taking Charge of Your Fertility (amazing book in its own right) gave me everything I ever wanted to know about my own body and cycles, and therefore potentially choose the gender of our baby. I highly recommend it!

Worked for us

I read about this research initially as an undergrad back in 1981. After having a baby girl, we wanted a boy to complete our family. Follow ALL of the steps in this book. It completely worked for us.

Even though we conceived our daughter completely naturally, with no attempt to do anything other than have sex, the way we conceived her was almost completely as if we were following the book and trying for a girl.

Our son came after 6 months of attempts at conception, but we followed the steps to the letter and now I have an 8 month old son to accompany my 3 year old daughter.

It's a boy!!!!! It worked!!!!

I did everything the book said to have a boy and it worked! I got pregnant on the first try and I am having a boy. I am an older mom and was ready to try for months but I charted my temp and followed the guidelines suggested by the book. The book was easy to read and full of very useful information. I will follow the same suggestions for my next pregnancy.

For almost forty years, How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby has been the standard reference for couples trying to increase their chances of having the son or daughter they hope for. In this new edition of their classic book, Dr. Shettles and David Rorvik provide authoritative scientific studies and compelling anecdotal evidence demonstrating that the Shettles method continues to produce results unmatched by any other method. Dozens of testimonials confirm its ease of use and rate of success.

How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby explains the simple, at-home, noninvasive Shettles method and presents detailed steps to take to conceive a child of a specific gender. The properly applied Shettles method gives couples a 75 percent or better chance of having a child of the desired sex. Some researchers have reported success rates of up to 90 percent!
