Greek Travel

Fantastic pictures and good maps, but directed toward the high end traveler. There is little or nothing for the budget traveler. Also the information of getting place to place is sketchy at best.

Not only informative but a beautiful book.

I picked this out of the Amazon lineup, before a short trip to Rhodes, and it is perfect. The illustrations are great - a joy to look at and yet they keep you pointed in the direction of what you might care to see. I envy the authors who obviously got to poke around in the islands and will look for others in the series.

Informative travel guide

I just got back from Italy and the Greek Islands and I used this book and other Eyewitness books to learn about each one I visited. The Eyewitness series has a lot of great information about the history of the area and points of interest including lots of gorgeous photos. However, I wish the Eyewitness series would include more "survival" type information such as transportation, restaurants, etc. so that they could be the only guide I need to take. I felt like I needed another guide for that type of information and I did not want to carry more books!

Completely satisfied

The book came quickly in the mail. Just loved the book, it has lots of wonderful pictures. It's very informative, has good tips for hotels and hostels. It breaks down the islands so it makes it easier to figure out how to get from one island to another within the same group. Being a vegetarian, I also enjoyed how they talk about the food it will make it easier for me to eat out.

Great info in this book for travelers to Greece.
