highly recommended

Wonderfully written and sweet illustrations

On the Usborne site this book is noted to be for "age 3 and up." Our son is not quite 3 and I found it to be just perfect for his level.

It's wonderfully written with just enough detail of the events for this age group. The illustrations are adorable which adds something special.

If you have a 2-4 yr old and are expecting, I would recommend this book as a perfect way to introduce the "big brother" or "big sister" world to your toddler.

okay book

I liked the book but it was a little weird for my 2 year old.. its not long but she has a hard time sitting through it because its not very story like and thats what i was under the impression it would belike..it does get the point across and i think she understands what its saying but its not very fun or detailed in the least bit

great for a 2nd or 3rd baby

this is a great little book about having a new baby. there are 2 kids in the family, a boy & girl (I think 5 & 3) & the new baby is a girl. we bought this book a month or so before we had our second baby & read it with the older one. it is great because it shows the mom nursing the baby & remains neutral/positive about the new baby coming along. I highly recommend this one!

Purchased for my niece, who is expecting a little brother or sister-

She enjoys it very much!

A little outdated

This is a cute book, but the illustrations seem a little outdated (the mom is wearing long skirts and dresses throughout) and at the hospital she is sharing the recovery room with two other moms. Overall is a good book and my son likes to look at it.
