fun read but no real tension in the love story
Lisa Kleypas never disappoints. The
book
was a fun read. I liked both the hero and the heroine but there wasn't really much tension or intrigue to the love story.
We Are Off to a Great Start!
Lisa Kleypas can be hit or miss for me...but this
book
was a grand slam, all the way. I loved the two main characters -- their warmth, their humor, and their strengths were evenly matched and Lisa clearly demonstrated that Cam and Amelia were meant for each other. Plus, they were genuine and flawed; I'm bored to death with the same "old Goody Two Shoes reforms the Rake" plot line, so this was totally refreshing.
I also quite enjoyed the secondary characters in this book, most of whom were given enough depth and dimension to cause me to look forward to the continuation of the series. And the plot wasn't a bunch of love scenes and misunderstandings strung together by masked balls. There were some wonderful family interactions ("Cyclops", for example) and some tender and humorous exchanges that lent a sense of realism to this romance.
All in all, I'm glad I waited until now to read it -- I won't have to wait so long for the sequel!

WOW!!!!!
I liked Amelia. However, I fell in love with Cam Rohan. He is like no other male character I have ever read about. He "SEXY, CARING, HANDSOME, SMOOTH, SUAVE....the list goes on and on! The story starts out a bit slow. But hold on to your seat.....it does pick up. This is a good read.

Wonderful
Every once in a while a
book
comes along that just "hits the spot." This is one of those books. I always read Lisa Kleypas and anxiously await all of her new books. Although, initially I thought I would be disappointed that I wasn't reading about Cam Rohan and Daisy Bowman, I quickly realized that the story Lisa had created was so much better than I had hoped for. Not all of Lisa's books make it on my keeper's list, but this is one of them (Devil in Winter is another). I think you will enjoy this book and look forward to the obvious spin-offs.

GREAT READ
I really loved this
book
. It had just about everything in it. You cant help but fall for Cam. Dark, dangerous, seductive, and a Gypsy to boot!! Who could ask for anything more? Being half Irish and half Gypsy he doesn't feel like he belongs anywhere, but he finds himself wanting to belong to Amelia Hathaway. He has finally found someone who calls to his soul, someone who can "tame" his restlessness, and before he knows it he finds himself unable to resist her and all her quirks, and sets out to help her and her family(and what a family!!). This book is what I call a romantic comedy, and I love romantic comedies!! Amelia is a hoot and so is her whole family, you cant help but fall in love them too. Cam definately has his hands full, and you will find yourself being irresistibly drawn into the Hathaway family right along with him. You will notice that this book isn't just about Cam and Amelia. The secondary characters are very pro
mine
nt in this book ( as well as the second book) but I dont feel that it takes anything away from Cam and Amelias story. In fact I think it enhances it. Theres more characters to love, and it gives the story more depth. You find yourself more involved in the story, and more involved in the family as a whole, which I find very refreshing. Plus, it gives you more characters to want to read about. Lets hope Mrs. Kleypas delivers!!!! So I highly reccomend reading 'Mine
Till
Midnight
',and I dare you not to fall in love with Cam and the
Hathaways
.
The next book 'Seduce Me At Sunrise' is just as good!!!

When an unexpected inheritance elevates her family to the ranks of the aristocracy, Amelia Hathaway discovers that tending to her younger sisters and wayward brother was easy compared to navigating the intricacies of the ton. Even more challenging: the attraction she feels for the tall, dark, and dangerously handsome Cam Rohan.
Wealthy beyond most men?s dreams, Cam has tired of society?s petty restrictions and longs to return to his ?uncivilized? Gypsy roots. When the delectable Amelia appeals to him for help, he intends to offer only friendship?but intentions are no match for the desire that blindsides them both. But can a man who spurns tradition be tempted into that most time-honored arrangement: marriage? Life in London society is about to get a whole lot hotter?.
