This is without a doubt my favorite Christmas story every. I read it to my class, who were starting to become non-believers, and now they believe again. The magic is back.

Family Tradition

What started out as a wonderful book for children has become a family tradition. Each Christmas, we read Red Ranger and it never loses it's charm---for children or for adults. Truly unique and delightful!

Absolute Magic

There are so many great reviews of this very special book, that I almost skipped commenting. This book is the perfect gift for all the adults in your life. It is logical to think of children first, but adults may need the magical story and reminder of what is important more than children during the holidays when everything seems to be about money.

I am including a copy in each holiday package shipped to my adult relatives. The book is secular -- this isn't a religious story, but it still drives home the message that it isn't about the gifts. And, given the stress of the economy, this year in particular, Christmas may feel like an added burden. This unique story is spirit lifting and magical for young and old. I will read this book every Christmas season and so will you.

Great Christmas Story

This book was recommended by my child's school librarian. All three of my kids, ages 5-10, girls and boy, loved the book. The illustrations were vibrant and the story captivated everyone.

Delightful

Enjoyable read and good artwork. The idea of reconciling the disillusionment of Christmas with the desire for the bicycle is great. Love the last page. Of a type for christmas stories that show Santa really is real.

Using glowing, hypnotic images and a funny, provocative text, the narrator relives his father's most amazing childhood Christmas. A moody young boy sees himself as the "Red Ranger from Mars, " his hero from the movie serials, and cannot picture life without the gift of a Red Ranger bicycle. Full color.
