Excellent book!

FIVE STARS PLUS 100!!!! This book was so amazing I finished it in a day! if you don't read any other books from this series, you HAVE to read this one. I couldn't put it down and found myself crying several times. This book is a true masterpiece! Go Anne!

a good read

This was an interesting book, though perhaps not as entertaining as some of the others in the series. It was different and it was thoughtfully done. Was happy to find Lestat again.

Gives some food for thought

I recently finished reading this book, and I found it to be very compelling. It gives a narrative of creation from the view of Memnoch, the Fallen Angel.

I most enjoyed how Anne Rice seems to have done her homework, incorporating elements from both the Bible and Apocrypha. Everything interconnects and gives a story of human history that could have easily inspired historical fact.

I especially loved the dynamic between God and Memnoch, and seeing the history of their interactions was very intriguing, and gave me food for thought about who Satan really is.

Of course, it's not all easy to read, and there were parts that confused me. In one place, I can remember having to go back and read it again having had a hard time processing what exactly was happening, but overall the story was easy to follow.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone seeking a good read that offers some things to ponder.

Good book but I would stop at number 4 in the series after that it just gets out of hand.
