"His forbidden fruit; his ultimate temptation"

Sincerely, Billionaire M.D. was certainly one of the most intense romances I've read with so many twists and turns plus the emotions running wild between the very sexy Spanish Dr. Rodrigo Valderrama and the very lovely surgeon and patient Cybele Wilkinson. Author Olivia Gates knowledge of the medical field was quite evident during this entire story and will certainly appeal to fans of medical romance. As she said in "Dear Reader", Ms. Gates wanted to "demonstrate in full measure, why a surgeon can be such an irresistibly romantic hero" and Rodrigo was certainly that and more as he was a self made billionaire, soft hearted, loyal to his family and Cybele's protector.

Conflicting emotions leap off of the pages because of the emotions Rodrigo Valderramna feels for the woman who has survived an airplane crash and is now in a comma. Those feelings are revealed towards the end of the book, shocking revelations which will have the reader shaking their heads in disbelief. Cybele survives the airplane crash and her husband dies. When she awakes she's sure knows the attending physician, and then parts of her memory return and she realizes he was her husband's best friend, or so she thinks. On top of that, she learns she's pregnant.

And then the day of his funeral she insists on going along with Rodrigo because her in-laws will be claiming her husband's body. What she doesn't count on if finding out from her mother-in-law, that her husband Mel and Rodrigo were brothers not best friends. Mel and Rodrigo's story was quite fascinating, more than fascinating is all that can be revealed or it would ruin this story.

Trust me, that's not the end of the secrets and when Rodrigo insists she stay with him at his Spanish villa to recuperate and rest she agrees because she cannot fight the feelings she has for him. Several times she tries to show him but he makes it clear by ignoring her and she's confused because she can see in his eyes that he desires her. However, they finally fall into each others arms and in the end marry.

Family, love and the sense of belonging have always been important to Cybele because she didn't have it when she was a child. When her mother remarried and had children, she felt left out and felt she was a reminder of her mother's first marriage. So now that she and Rodrigo have declared their love and he has told her he wants to marry her and love her child she is beyond happy. And then the secrets just keep on coming along with Cybele's memories returning and everything blogs up.

In the end, Olivia Gates ties this romance into a perfect package even though they both had to suffer misfortune and unhappiness, they're able to work everything out and get their perfect happy ending. Some of the very last chapters had me wishing for more as the passion was so incredibly intense and deeply emotional as Rodrigo's love is so pure and sincere and has always been since he first set eyes on Cybele.

Olivia Gates takes us with her newest book in a suspenseful, emotional, sensual ride brilliantly braided with one of the most romantic love stories I'd ever read. Rodrigo's love, passion and deep devotion for Cybele is touching from the first page to the last one. And the camaraderie they develop makes their love more realistic.

I'd been reading Desire books since an age I shouldn't have been doing so, and like everybody else (please God, don't let me be the only one) I'm always looking forward to the love scenes. In this particular case, I was wondering how would a doctor handle such a scene, expecting to be surprise with a unique way to describe this essential moment in the book. Olivia Gate not only surprised me with that first love scene; she astounded me. I put the book down for a second and said: OMG! Olivia!

I won't spoil it for those who have yet to read the book, all I will say it's that I was nearly as struck as Cybele and Rodrigo were. After the `oooh' moment I went right back to reading, enjoying Olivia Gate's ablaze and tasteful writing very much. That first lovemaking between them was remarkable, however the other love scenes are sensuous and erotic too, going in crescendo until the deeply emotional finale. Like we say in Spanish, `Eso es amor!' which means, that is love!

Wow! From the moment she opened her eyes, the chemistry between Rodrigo, her gorgeous surgeon and self-appointed guardian angel, and Cybele was palpable! Cybele suffered from memory loss that she incurred in an accident. But her memory came back to her in expertly written doses of info and insight that only Olivia Gates can deliver. And boy did she deliver - unfurling the intricacies and the mysteries of Rodrigo's presence in Cybele's life.

I loved learning about Cybele's past and found myself turning each page faster and faster so I could discover what else had lead up to their current relationship. Like an onion, this story has so many fascinating layers to remove and reveal more and more about the characters who you will care about and adore.

Rodrigo is as sexy and alpha a hunk as any one woman could handle; he's positively scrumptious. As the book progressed, his love for her expanded to fill each page and each encounter with so much kindness and caring I wanted to crawl through the pages and embrace him myself.

The intensity crackled between them every time they were alone. And he'd made sure they'd have plenty of time to be alone when he whisked her away to his estate where they fell into the deeply caring love that can only grow from a connection on so many levels including humor, attraction, and true friendship. There is never an instant when you are not completely engrossed in each new revelation, as they are all cleverly disclosed and grab your total attention. BILLIONAIRE, M.D. is compellingly emotive during every breathtaking scene.

When Cybele Wilkinson awakens, she is confused yet believes she can trust the man who is talking to her. Though she does not recognize him, she feels drawn to the heartfelt emotion behind his plea to try and speak. She comes to learn she is in a hospital because of a plane accident, and it seems to have caused her to be suffering from amnesia. Her surgeon is Rodrigo Valderrama, a renowned Spanish doctor, and he reluctantly admits after a time that she is a widow plus talks to her about her early term pregnancy. What he does not tell her right away is how he knew her before the mishap.

From the time he worked to save Cybele after the accident and during the days after she woke up with no memories, Rodrigo keeps his real feelings to himself and hides how much he has cared for her since their first meeting. As she slowly regains her strength and can finally be dismissed from the hospital, Cybele agrees to recuperate at his home when it is given as the only option in being able to leave. Though her injuries continue to heal, she desperately wants answers to the many questions which constantly plague her, while Rodrigo worries about her reaction when she does discover the whole truth about her past.

Any book by Olivia Gates is emotionally compelling at all times. There is fervent passion behind every response, both sexual and even when sentiments are conveyed through actions, words or just thoughts. I do not know when I have been as stunned by numerous unforeseen turns, and Ms. Gates certainly divulges these twists with much unexpectedness.
