Home decoration bible

Even an idiot like me managed to produce flawless faux finishes thanks to the step-by-step guides for the various types of surfaces. Never redecorate your home without consulting this book first.

This book is great.

This book is top notch.

The faux painting techniques are great, and explained well.

Furthermore the pictures are gorgeous.

It provides inspiration as well as teaching you how to use the techniques.

I bought this for my wife, but find that it inspires me as well.

I am a construction worker and the rooms shown are all beautiful.

I have been thinking about incorporating some of their ideas into my construction work.

E.G Using a concrete finish and they faux wood painting, as opposed to wood in certain areas.

Why? Durability, moisture, plasticity, etc.

This book would also be a great complement to Fu-Tun Cheng's Concrete at Home.

Excellent source for Faux Finish techniques

I was looking to repaint some olive colored walls, but do more than just another color. This book has great ideas for different faux finishes and multiple photos for each technique. I'm going to do the linen technique. Feel confident it will turn out well with the information provided in the book.
