My favorite book as a child

I was so excited to find this book available for purchase. This was my favorite book as a child, and I loved books! I've never known anyone who ever heard of this book. I have always referred to dachshunds as pretzel dogs, and nobody would understand why. So now I'm about to be a grandma, and I'm buying it for the baby & for me; one copy for each of us. I hope he and his parents enjoy it as much as I always did. Coincidentally, they have a dachshund. I love this book!

I just got this book on the mail today and LOVED IT! I have two dachshunds and was looking for a children's book for my baby with one or two doxies as characters...I was beyond happy to find Pretzel, with the creators of Curious George as a bonus!!! the story is simple but cute! and of course the illustrations by H.A. Rey are classic!

Cute children's book

I purchased this book as a gift for a friend's grandson. The family loved the sweet story.

Don't judge just by looks

A very sweet story. We have 2 dachschunds so we could relate as I read the story to my granddaughter. The story teaches that it's important to be kind, and don't judge someone just by their looks. A nice ending. Good for children.

The longest dachshund in the world, Pretzel is admired by all and the winner of a blue ribbon at the dog show. Only Greta, the little dachshund across the street, doesn't care for long dogs. At least not until she gets into a jam out of which only a long dog can help her. This classic story of puppy love will win the hearts of both old and new Pretzel fans.
