Excellent

This book is about compositing great shots. It is not about aperture or shutter speed at all. Cheap telephone on your mobile/cell/hand phone or an expensive DSLR camera, you can learn a lot from this book.

I just bought my first DSLR camera. I bought ten photography books on amazon. I'm evaluating these books from the perspective of a semi-advanced amateur. (On things I've learnt is that book by the same author tends to be very similar. So make sure you vary your authors when buying more than one book. Rather than saying this author is good, let me buy more from him/her.)

I purchased this book on the recommendation of a podcaster I follow and was not at all disappointed! Bryan Peterson does a great job of giving the reader lots of ideas in many aspects of photography on how to make more original images. Excellent book for photographers at all levels. The images in the book are wonderful and give the reader a good idea of how to improve his/her own images.

Good Book to Keep and refer back to

I came across his short video lessons vie Adorama's web site. Bryan Peterson is very knowledgeable when it comes to photograpy. Since he has been in it so long he brings the creative aspect into taking pictures. I have been in it for 30+ years but not professionally so this book has really opened my eyes into taking better pictures creatively. I would recommend this book to most anyone that would like to improve his or her pictures by seeing creatively.
