Great book but really emotionally draining. ..

I couldn't believe everything that happened in this book. You know how most people say "it was so good that I couldn't put it down?" Well, this book was so good that i COULDN'T put it down. . . Not only does Rose have more problems with Victor Dashcove to sort through, but she's also having problems with her sanity. Moreover, she starts wondering if she's making the right choice by becoming a guarding because she will have to sacrifice her happiness to get what she "wants". Next, you have the whole thing with Dimitry. . . you think rose is finally going to get her happy ending and that maybe, just maybe, the book's ending will be happy for once. Don't be fooled. It's the most unhappy ending in the world! It's so hard to give a spoilter free review for this book because so many things happen and most of it is based on the same thing. I think that this book, all in all, was the best one in the series, but i might have changed some things. Thanks for reading! :) Don't hesitate to read this book, you will regret it if you wait.

So sad :(

This book was much darker then the previous two. The changes in Rose were almost scary, even though I liked it that she started seeing some new options in her life. And I loved the way she and Dimitri got together and started making plans for their future. But all the time, I had that feeling that something bad is going to happen. And it did. So bad. :(((( I just can't believe it :( I want things to go back to the way they were and have a happily ever after!!! Wishful thinking :( Can't wait to read the next book though, and see if things can be patched up.

If you read the first two books in the series Vampire Acedemy and Frost Bite then Shadow Kiss is the book you have been waiting for as Rose and Dimitri finally get together. The Striogis break into the school and start killing off teachers, students and guardians. Lissa and Rose find out more about their great bond.

Shadow Kiss has the best cliff hanger so far in the vampire acedemy series, where one of the main characters will become a striogi, put I will let you find that out for yourself. If you liked the first two then your going to love Shadow Kiss.

Such an addiction!!

This was the darkest, scariest, most intense of the books so far- and even with all the conflict, I'm pretty sure it's my fave. I have really enjoyed the way the characters have grown and learned from their mistakes. A lot of young adult books have the kids making the same mistakes over and over- it's nice that these ones are making new ones instead! I also love the growth of the relationship between Rose & Dimitri. It's hard when you are hoping that what you think is going to happen won't happen and you cringe as you turn every page that brings you closer to knowing, but that is what makes this book sooooo good. This one is definitely my favorite. Do yourself a favor...READ THE SERIES!!

I was trying to wait to read this series until I had the 5th book, but I slipped up. I read the first book in about 4 hours, and couldn't stop til I finished the next 3. (Who needs sleep anyhow?) What a great series! It's interesting, engaging, & funny. You connect so easily with the characters and their lives, these books are just wonderful!

I just read the 7 House of Night books, and these ones are so much better! The Vampire academy books are well written, dark without being too dark, filled with suspense & humor. They are scary- but not too much and have just enough romance- without being dirty. If you like vampire books, and need a light read, these are a great pick!

Amazing! Its sad and tragic its happy and beautiful!!

This again was amazing! I love this series!! I felt really bad for Rose through most of the book. Its been drilled in Guardians that Moroi come first. And its taking its toll on Rose. She can't be with the person she loves most. She even is pretty much going crazy because of her and Lissa's bond. You get to learn more about her being Shadow Kissed and what it means for Rose. But nothing can compare to the tragic ending in this book! I felt for her the whole book but at the end it was just so bad!! I can't wait to read the next one.
