The promise of wealth...
Og Mandino delivers a Christian message that is essentially Protestant in that it emphasizes the work-ethic. I have no problem with hard work, but I also appreciate the idea that God also has designed humans to relax and have a good time with people. By tying in the promise of wealth to a theological system of thought, Mandino implies that those who fail in business are theologically deficient. Though I found the book to be well written, imaginative and entertaining; I didn't fully agree with the author's plan to "success".
Take me for example, I have settled into a job that doesn't make a whole lot of money; but it is enough to support my family, enjoy life, and have some nice things (albeit, not A LOT of nice things). I could make more money, and have nicer things, but the time investment would rob me of spending that much extra time with my two teenagers and my little boy.

Classic!
I thought this book had a strange title, when it was recommended to me. Yet i understand now! And I understand that it's more than a rousing tale about a great
salesman
! Though that's how it starts... The beginning paints a picture of an allegorical fantasy, yet Og Mandino's wisdom pops off the page in the middle, as he shares the best elements of life with the
world
. And the ending will not disappoint... enjoy the twist!
Absolutely Excellent
This book is one of the best stories ever told. He gets the point & I actually did what the book says to try & my life has completely turned around. The way I think & act is thanks to this book. Words cannot express my feelings about this book. A MUST READ!!

This book is a life changer
I owned a copy of this book before and it ghanged my life but i lent it to a rrelative but never got it back.I bought this one because i want my children to read it. you will never regret this one.
Amazon's service is good but i ended up paying US$45.00 in shipping to get it here in St.Lucia.
AND I STILL DON'T REGRET ORDERING IT.
Worth reading
I have read this book that I borrowed from the library several times. I wanted a copy that I could review from time to time. Well worth your time. It's a short but valuable read.
This is a reprint of Og Mandino's quintessential positive thinking parable which has stirred many to action in pursuit of their dreams.
