Review by my son Morgann
I recommend this book. The book has 184 pages and 27 Chapters. The book was at a high level and very interesting to read.
There are five main characters. It is a fiction book about aliens taking over the world. The boss of the aliens is known as Visser Three. He says when he takes over Earth and he will become Visser One. The
Animorphs
are Jake, Marco, Rachel, Tobias and Cassie. They have this alien technology from a type of alien called an Andalite. The technology allows them to turn into different kinds of animals, for example, a lizard, a cat, or a hawk. They use their morphing to fight for the Earth. The Animorphs found out the evil alien pool known as the Yeerks were under the town. The Yeerks controlled people's minds and used humans to disguise that they were aliens. The humans whose minds were controlled by the aliens would capture other humans and take them under the city and a Yeerk would take over their mind. The book is called the
Invasion
because the Yeerks are invading people's minds.
The Animorphs are doing all they can to stop Visser Three from taking over the Earth.
This book is good for people that like aliens, technology and transforming.

Got me hooked
My twin brother received this book of the series for our twelth birthday, whilst I received the second. Good gamble on my mother, for I was the one of the set that became hooked on the series. This was a marvelous introduction to a mostly stellar series."The
Invasion
" introduces five kids from various walks of life who may or may not be close to each other. An incident near the mall involving a UFO thrusts the kids into a done-but-still-fun adventure as they are given the ability to change into animals and fight body-snatching aliens. Good ol' fashioned sci-fi fun with a pleasant tween, modern twist. These early books had the best writing of the series, and K. A. Applegate carefully put in her original characters to mold them into the more developed characters they would become. "The Invasion" was the perfect introduction, with relationships, heartache, and good ol' alien slaughtering.

Whoa, this author really knows how to write
Ten years ago while these books were being written, I was focusing on reading horror novels like Stephen King's Desperation. I saw a few
Animorphs
books lying around one day and thought to myself "Oh, how cute. Someone at our high school reads children's books." Then last Saturday I had some time to kill and was in the library. I saw the books again and said "Eh, why not." My first reaction was: whoa, this author really knows how to write. This book doesnt have any of the boring scenes that too many adventure story authors don't know how to get rid of.
I realized I needed to go somewhere private to allow the visual imagery of the books to really come at me full-force. So I took out four books, went home, and read them in one sitting. I'm amazed. I've never experienced "can't put it down" before. I've been going back every day I have free time to read more of the books. And even when I'm out doing other things I keep replaying the scenes in my head. I wish I'd picked up these books ten years ago.

My daughter liked this book
My daughter really liked this book. She had read other books in the series but could not find the first issue and I found it for her on Amazon.
Still just as good as I remembered
I used to love this series when I was young. I'm now 21 and a few months ago I decided to reread them. I wasn't too sure how much I'd like them since they are "kids books," but boy, I was hooked. I read all 54, and the 10 or so extras in just a few months. These books are probably my favorite books of all time, and I've definately read my fair share of books from every age group and genre.
We can't tell you who we are. Or where we live. It's too risky, and we've got to be careful. Really careful. So we don't trust anyone. Because if they find us...well, we just won't let them find us. The thing you should know is that everyone is in really big trouble. Yeah. Even you. There's a massive outdoor concert coming to town. Offspring. Alanis. Nine Inch Nails. Marco refuses to miss it. He even has a great idea for getting in, uh, free: He and Jake will morph dogs. Marco thinks it's a perfect set up (especially since girls LOVE cute dogs). And even though Jake doesn't agree at first, he finally decides that if Marco goes to the show someone should be around to watch him. Right?
