Great Fun to Read

Another great book to share with children. Mr. Lewis has again tickled our funny bone with this one. I would highly recommend all three of his books to anyone who loves to chuckle. Great books also for new readers. Nancy J.

Funny and cool

"The Tickle Tree" has poem jokes. They are funny and cool. Some poems are short and some are long, but they are all funny. My favorite poem is "Fear." I like it because it has a spider in it. I didn't know I liked poetry, and that poems could be funny, until I read this book. I also liked most of the pictures, but I thought some of them should be more colorful. If you decide not to read the entire book, make sure you read "No Pants," "Hot Date," "Love," and "The Tickle Tree."

I recommend "The Tickle Tree" to everyone-- kids and adults. I think teachers should read this book to their students. It will help them learn that poems can be fun.

Another Great Book by this Author!

"The Tickle Tree" is my children's favorite book. Not only are the poems funny but they have prompted entertaining questions like, "Mommy, how DO you grow pickles?" and "Mommy could YOU have a cow?" My children were so excited to receive another book by L W Lewis. "Why Do Flies Eat Doggy Poop" and "Poodles, Tigers, Monsters, and You" have remained family favorites. We also play the CD of "The Tickle Tree" in the car.

Short, humorous poems that celebrate the imprefections of children, most from a child's point of view.
