A MUST READ for all entrepreneurs

Mike Michalowicz's tell-it-like-it-is, no nonsense, straight-shooting approach to being an entrepreneur is so deliciously rock solid that I haven't even finished the book yet and I am already ready to read it over again.

In his book "The TPE" he offers up a clear and inspired strategy for not only lying the foundation for a successful business but for also guiding you through a deeper understanding of yourself. (and who couldn't benefit from that!). Whether you own your own company, are planning to launch as an entrepreneur or simply want to start figuring out your place in the world of business, this book is a MUST READ.

I found his strategy of defining your "Immutable Laws" extremely valuable. If you don't know what you stand for as a person you are not ready to be a TPE! I love that Mike encourages us to define our values in a way that "sings with your soul."

Follow Mike's TPE guide and your business (and your life) will be FAR FROM ORDINARY & BORING!

Thank you Mike for offering up your heart and soul and allowing us to join in your fierce spirit for business and life.

If you are a take action, motivated, focused, fierce, self-aware person with a sense of humor...this book is for you!

I Loved the Toilet Paper Entrepreneur

As a woman entrepreneur (starting a new business in the last year after being laid off), Michael Michalowicz's book is never far from me. Instead of a stuffy business plan I created a common sense Prosperity Plan. I am meeting my goals and my business is in the black - STEP 1. Now I am poised for growth. I am constantly addressing my area of innovation and the process is creative, exciting and satisfying (for me and my clients).

My company provides training and consulting for professional mentoring. The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur: The tell-it-like-it-is guide to cleaning up in business, even if you are at the end of your roll.I connected with Mike on-line and have found him to be a generous, responsive, knowledgeable and irreverent mentor. I highly recommend the Toilet Paper Entrepreneur to anyone starting a business or thinking about transforming their business.

The complete opposite of Boring!

I enjoy laughing. As much as possible. Most of the time when I'm reading a business book, there's no "fun" involved. What a breath of fresh air in TPE! I read a lot of books that I only get halfway through. This one I finished because of the witty demeanor of the author. After getting halfway through "Good to Great" which is supposedly an excellent book for us entreprenuers, it was so dry I lost interest. When I picked up TPE, I immediately felt like I was having a conversation about business in a bar with a passionate entreprenuer, and I loved it! It was just refreshing. My main takeaways:

-"You are very good at very little" how true! I've been in business for 9 years and just now learning to LET GO and lose the control freak in me. I'm finding some good people, and I didn't do it the traditional way (another good takeaway worth mentioning- find help outside the traditional avenues- like the local Coffee Shop!)

-"Every day, review your metrics". Ugh, but it must be done anyway!

-"Profit First Account.' Read the book to see what I mean. It was nice to see me doing something right. You'll see the same and be proud of yourself too! I'm taking my Profit First dough and putting it into the purchase of Office space. Onwards!

As far as cons of the book that some may see, that's already been covered in other reviews as far as the Potty humor. I see it as more witty quips than straight Richard Pryor potty humor! It's worth the read! You'll learn some things.

TPE is My Personal Cheerleader

So many people are "idea creators" and not "implementors." I meet them all of the time and I'm sure that you have met them as well. It's a HUGE leap of faith to take your idea and bring it to market, especially if you're limited with business knowledge. Trial and error is the game, unless you line yourself up with a fantastic team of experts and who can afford that on a shoe string budget? Not me.

I heard about Mike's book, the Toilet Paper Entrepreneur and I just had to see what Mike had to say. I have to admit that the title caught my attention and I was intrigued from the start. I'm a stay-at-home mom so potty humor is my life right now, so I had no problems with the humor. It's actually a big reason that made me keep reading, cause it kept my attention.

Most business books are dull and boring, and I have a hard time finishing them. Mike kept me entertained while offering me valuable info. For a stay-at-home mom and TPE, I have little time to waste on reading some useless book that talks over your head and leaves you with a bunch of useless info. This book is a quick read and offers an "action" section at the end to make sure that you're getting what you need.

*Offers crucial tips in his book to save me both time and money.
*Reassures you to not second guess yourself.
*Gives you reasons to persevere.
*Relatable for your everyday entrepreneur.

I recommend this book to all of my friends who come to me with their new idea.

The Toilet Paper Entepreneur is the Bible for ALL Entrepreneurs

I had heard that the Toilet Paper Entrepreneur was a great book, but I didn't realize how much I was truly going to enjoy and ultimately rely on his book during some the growing pains of my own business. Throughout those challenging times, I found myself being inspired through the hilarious stories of self awareness and historical accounts of true toilet paper entrepreneurialism. It's true....the longer you just sit on the pot and don't be creative with the three sheets you've been given the less likely you are to achieve success.

The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur is a book filled with countless life lessons and advice that anyone at whatever level of business experience would greatly benefit from reading. I've read numerous business "self help" books and usually come away with MAYBE one piece of advice I can use if I'm lucky. They're usually filled with a bunch of fluff and the same information said over and over....just in a different way. This book is the complete opposite and is why I read and reread many sections of the book and have filled it with sticky notes for future reference. Every entrepreneur should have this book in their collection!!!

"Never started a company before? Struggling with little or no cash? Have no experience, no baseline to judge your progress against? Thank God! You've got a shot at making this work." So says Mike Michalowicz, author of The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur, a business book that is so uniquely useful, so raw and entertaining, it reads like the brainchild of Steve Jobs and Chris Rock.

The founder of three multimillion-dollar companies, including Obsidian Launch, a company that partners with first-time entrepreneurs to grow their concepts into industry leaders, Mike Michalowicz knows what it really takes to spin your great idea into pure gold.

Whether you're just starting out or have been at this for years, Mike's "get real" approach to business is a much-needed swift kick in the pants. In this book, you'll discover:
* Why a business plan is a total waste of your time.
* Why fulfilling your own needs is the first and last order of business.
* Which three sheets of paper you need to successfully launch, manage and grow your business.
* How to get started in business with little or no money.
* How to find and exploit resources that no one else knows about.
* How to stop procrastinating and take action NOW!
