Sign of things to come
As a first novel, The
Gates
of
Fenris
is a sign of things to come. It is wrought with Jungian symbolism and obviously springs from an imagination that knows no bounds. Punctuation is intentionally abused by the author, which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. However, there are scenes that transcend time and space and overall you get the feeling that there is a lot more to come from this brilliant writer.
I highly recommend this to any serious reader of imaginative or speculative fiction.

This book kicks a**!! From what I understand, this is Zach's first book, I can't wait to see what else is on the way!!!!!!

A group of young misfits exploit the mystical powers of an ivory chess-table obtained from a mysterious old man, while a supernatural being acts as a catalyst for some rather unusual earthly events. Jungian symbolism is liberally strewn along the path of this speculative journey to the nether-regions of the mind and the universe.
