Love my NEW Bible!

I love my new Bible in it's original order. My last Bible was an Inductive Study Bible and even though I really enjoyed studying from it and still have it I am finding that my depth of study with this Bible is wonderful. I have started in Acts and have been making so many notes and references. The charts and added information in the back is wonderful to have for reference. If you want to have a Bible that you can really dive in to this is a great one to dive into!

Re: the negative comments that are listed. If you take the time to prove even one or two points you will quickly see that the criticisms are based on their own personal opinion, and even though complaining about the author's putting his take on this version, in truth and fact they are doing what they accuse...which amazes me..what is their purpose!? Prove all things.

Pray for clarity and study with confidence that you have the most up to date and accurate Bible on the market today...at least that is how I am enjoying it! :-)

Happy Studying!

The Best Holy Bible I'd Ever Bought

I have several KJV Bibles in my home of different sizes, but this is the best Bible I had ever bought. What really got my attention was how the Books were arranged according to the original order. The commentaries, 14 chapters in all, such as the canonization of the Old Testament and who, what and when was the New Testaments were written, etc. , are very informative. So if anyone is looking for a Holy Bible in modern English translation, I would recommend this 100%.

Bible review

I am extremely pleased with this Bible. I had a NT hardback copy, but when this came available in such a quality binding, I jumped on it. I am very familiar with this author and the quality of his work. The order of the books gets getting used to, but then it IS in the original order as canonized, isn't it. The translation is clear and accurate as far as its original intent.

Beautiful, quality Bible.

I love the feel, the look, and the quality of this Bible. The translation is OK, but not quite as beautiful as the KJV. Some of the commentaries offer very unconventional ideas, but I am sure they are offered in good faith, and they are backed up by Scripture. If you are looking for a quality Bible with a fine, soft, flexible lambskin cover and gilded high quality paper, this is a good choice. The translation is very readable and probably more easily understood than the KJV. I think it is good to read various translations. This is the fifth translation I have read from beginning to end, and each one adds a little more clarity to the Scriptures as I understand them. As for the commentary, you can take it or leave it. Read it for a little different perspective, and decide for yourself what you want to accept or reject. It never hurts to read a well researched and documented opinion, whether you ultimately agree with it or not.

COMING November 24, 2009: The new, 2nd Edition of The Holy Bible In Its Original Order

The Holy Bible In Its Original Order is an extraordinary Bible unique in two ways. First, it is the only complete Bible ever published that follows the original inspired manuscript order of all the books of the Old and New Testaments. With the original order of the 49 biblical books restored, the Seven Divisions of the Bible are also re-established: The Old Testament contains: 1) The Law, 2) The Prophets, and 3) The Writings. The New Testament contains: 4) The Gospels and Acts, 5) The General Epistles, 6) The Epistles of Paul, and 7) The Book of Revelation. With this restoration, Gods purposeful design of the Scriptures begins to unfold, revealing His divine inspiration.

Second, this version is a new translation--A Faithful Version--that reflects the true meaning of the original Hebrew and Greek with fidelity and accuracy. Today, in the face of rampant religious confusion, those who read the Bible deserve a translation that can be trusted. Reviewer Dan Decker of Bible Editions and Versions (June 2005) writes of this Faithful Version of the New Testament: It [is] an excellent translation for those desiring a literal one. Likewise, the Old Testament rendition faithfully conveys the clear meaning of the Hebrew.

Why another Bible? After the publication of the King James Version in 1611, the English Bible remained virtually unchanged. Beginning in the late 1800s, however, inferior Greek texts began to gain in popularity among scholars, from which sprang several corrupt translations. Over the decades, scores of such revised translations have been produced, collectively documenting the insidious corruption of the Word of God.

Most alarming is the recent trend toward contemporary versions ranging from the inadequate to the blasphemous in which the emphasis on an accurate translation has been abandoned in favor of a liberal paraphrase. The more popular translations are nothing but freewheeling renderings that destroy the meaning of the Word of God and dangerously corrupt its teachings. Yet, when the apostle Paul wrote, he used very precise Greek to fully explain Jesus teachings.

Indeed, the foundation of Christianity is being subverted and corrupted with new easy-to-read translations that alter the Word of God so dramatically that the true message of God has become lost. Numerous contemporary translations omit or add words even whole verses. Some translators have boldly added entire books that were never part of the original canon. And todays higher criticism has purported to expose so-called weaknesses and discrepancies in the authentic texts, undermining the faith of many.

Author Fred Coulter contends that the current assault on the Word of God must not go unchallenged. It is against this backdrop that Coulter was moved to produce a new translation free from scholarly corruption, political correctness and crude language. After publishing The New Testament In Its Original Order in 2004, Coulter teamed up with biblical Hebrew consultant Michael Heiss to produce a faithful translation of the Old Testament from the Hebrew Masoretic text. With both the Old and New Testaments faithfully translated, Coulter then published The Holy Bible In Its Original Order--A Faithful Version With Commentary in an effort to preserve the Word of God in an understandable, easy-to-read manner.

Included are over 250 pages of commentaries and appendices covering virtually every aspect of the history, preservation and canonization of the Bible as well as covering numerous teachings of Jesus and the apostles. Historical chronologies, detailed footnotes and marginal references are also included.

Features: genuine handcrafted lambskin cover
