havent used yet but very much looking forward to it!

the item arrived very quickly and without having to pay for extra fast shipping. we have yet to use it yet, but it looks like just the thing we'll need to keep our 18 month old happy on the airplane in his own seat for the first time! and the best part is that this is the ONLY FAA approved airplane seat device that is approved for take off and landing, and it is SO tiny and light weight, unlike carrying your own big car seat with you!

We love the CARES harness! It's light-weight and much more convenient than carrying the large heavy car seats!

Easy To Install - Works Great!

Not much to really say except that I bought this for my son's first airplane trip, and it was very easy to install and deinstall, as well as put my son into/out of. Since it's a 5-point harness style, it was also a very familiar restraint system just like the car seat which I believe helped my son feel calmer on the airplane and more willing to sit still for longer periods of time (the fewer "new" things the more likely your child will adapt easier and be more compliant)

For toddlers, make sure you buy your child his/her own roller bag and I also recommend the "The I'm A Good Little Traveler! DVD Toolkit Series: Shae by Air" to help prepare your child emotionally for his/her first flight.

Needs some update

This worked well for us in our first use. Our 2 yr old fussed a bit in the seat, mainly because the straps were cutting into his neck. I would get a set of cushions to add to the shoulder straps. As others noted, no bottom strap to keep them upright so wriggling around will cause a little trouble. I'd use it in the future.
