tasty, but too decadent for health food

I have so far tried both the peanut butter and jelly as well as the chocolate peanut Dipped flavors. While they both taste good, a look at the nutritional information might give many people pause. While these bars have less sugar than a candy bar like a Snickers, they have about the same amount of total fat and saturated fat as a Snickers -- 10 or 11 grams of fat depending on the flavor and 3.5 grams of saturated fat! They are also not exactly loaded with protein, at only 9 grams of protein per bar -- more than a Snickers but not by a lot. Fiber is minimal at only 2 grams.

In contrast, the Kasha Chocolate Almond Crunchy! bar (which at 45 grams is the same serving size as these Clif bars) has only 5 grams of fat, 2.5 grams of saturated fat, 5 grams of fiber, and 8 grams of protein. So the Kashi bar has 1 fewer gram of protein, but in other respects it excels. The Kashi bar is also delicious.

So, even though I enjoy a lot of Clif Bar flavors, I have to say that these Dipped flavors are only for people who want to buy expensive candy bars, not for people looking for healthy substitutes for small meals/snacks.

Tasty Filling Good

These are tasty and filling and good. A touch more saturated fat than other clif bars, but still has protein and dietary fiber. It was a risky buy on my part because I figured peanut butter and jelly could be bad, but these taste really great.

Taste is amazing

I tried these bars at the Rothbury festival in Michigan and they are out of this world. If you like PBJ's you leve em. Enjoy!

Yum yum yummy!

Although these are higher calorie and fat then some of the other bars, the protein is high too, and they taste amazing. The only thing I would say is I could taste more of the grape jelly, and wanted more of a peanut butter taste as well. But overall, I will buy these again. They taste like a honey nut trail mix bar coved in jelly on one side and pb on the other. I bet kids would love these too. They do not stick to the package, and don't have a weird texture- not at all like some protein bars.. Alot of the balance bars i buy just aren't as good because of the texture. So yes, thumbs up- try these!!
