Great Product

We love MIO. We bought it to take on vacation traveling half way across the counrty and she worked better than we could imagine. Very quick on the recalculation if you take a diferent turn. With the voice direction, you do not even need to look at the unit as she will tell you with plenty of time, were to turn and to go. This is an awesome product especially for the money and features you get. We would highly recommend to anyone.

I bought the mio moov because the price was unbeatable for the text to speech feature. I was told by the clerk that I could update maps online - this is not true. When I tried to register my product on line I thought I was missing the product code to do so. I called the company and was informed that there are no on line updates for the product.

Tom-Tom has on line updates to pick up any road changes etc.

This product will quickly become obsolete.

Best one in this price range

This unit does practically everything well; its display is clear, it's pretty easy to enter addresses, and it gives accurate directions, saying things like "Turn right on Thompson Street then make the first left" which is really helpful for knowing what lane to get into ahead of time. And having it say street names is very helpful.

TIP: The textlinks">GPS only says street names if you use one of the "named" voices (example, English: Samantha) and not just a generic (like English female). Also, there's more voices on the CD you can upload into it. Mine's now Karen (Australian accent - very cool.)

Along with those features are some neat things like "Avoid Area" (where you just swipe your finger over an area on the map, and the route avoids it) and Multi-stop trip, where you can swipe your finger to drag-and-drop-reorder the destinations on the list. All very good.

But most importantly, it gets me where I want to go with rarely a problem. The couple of glitches I recently had both involved State parks: It found the way there, but to an odd entrance instead of the main entrance. Not a big deal.

price is what makes it a keeper

i have a year old mio digi walker that i bought at radio shack for $99. it seems easier to use compared with the newer mio moov 200. i bought the moov 200 on amazon for $119. so the price is really good but the interface is just okay. don't pay more than $119, i saw it also being sold at CVS recently for $129.
