Works, mostly

You can't beat it for the price. I have 2 devices - a Roku and an Apple TV that don't ever really turn off, so the smart switch feature doesn't work for me. I run those 2 devices and use an HDMI->DVI cable to attach it to my older TV. HDCP works. I use a Logitech Harmony remote which can control the switch just fine. One problem I have had occasionally is when switching between devices I will get a gray static screen - switching back and forth between inputs clears it up. I also have seen an issue where the Apple TV menus will display fine, but when I select some video content it plays (the audio comes through the optical out) but the screen is black. Switching the inputs back and forth clears this up as well. I can't pin it on the switcher, since it could be the cheap HDMI-HDMI cables I've got, or the HDMI-DVI cable, or the devices themselves negotiating poorly.

Just what I needed.

Well, though I might have four HDMI slots on my HDTV, I only have two on my Receiver in which I run everything through. Let me give you a run down on what I have connected to my receiver and HDTV. I have a cable box, two Xbox 360s and a PS3 all hooked up through HDMI. My cable box was hooked up to my HDTV so I had to run an optical cable to get Dolby Digital. My PS3 was hooked up to one of the inputs on my receiver and I had to switch out the HDMI between my two 360s which to be quite honest, was a pain in the butt. I just received the product today and it works flawlessly. Now, I have all for of them on the same input on my HDTV(the cable box being it's on input while the game systems being hooked up to the HDMI switch. No longer do I have to change inputs on my HDTV AND change the receiver setting. What I love about this is that it automatically switches between everything that's connected. Let's say I'm downloading something on the 360 and I want to watch a Blu-Ray on the PS3. It's as simple as turning the PS3 on and it automatically switches over. When I turn off the PS3, it goes back to the 360. There's almost no need for the remote though it is nice that it's there if I ever do feel the need to use it. I don't see any point in paying twice as much or more for something that works as good as this does. This is one of the many reasons why I love Amazon:)

Works better than expected

I have an xbox and a computer connect to my monitor. I have this device connected to my monitor and my xbox and computer. The nicest thing about this is that every time I turn on my xbox the monitor will auto switch over to HDMI 1 and when I turn off my xbox it switches back to displaying my computer. It works really well and for the price it is a must have.

It's Okay, but if you can look around you might find a better one.

I have a Sony Blu-Ray Player and a Western Digital WD TV Live Network-ready HD Media Player hooked up to the HDMI switch. I also use the infared remote sensor provided, and the remote.

With the remote, I cannot change inputs at all unless the Blu-Ray player is on. Some people have mentioned that the switch can automatically sense which device was on and activate that port, I have not experienced that at all. I wish I had, my reviews would be glowing if it worked as the reviewers reported.

There are not really any instructions, then again I was hoping that it was a super easy setup. I am either missing something incredibly obvious or this device is not nearly as cool as I thought it would be.

It barely meets my needs, but it does meet them.
