it is the exact fit for the fridge. the only thing was after flushing it, there was intermittent flow for the first week. It is gone and everything is back to normal.I recommend this item.

This is just like the OEM filter, just cheaper, a no-brainer

The other filters on here don't filter as much as these ones do and this is my second time round for buying these filters. They're only a couple dollars more and are exactly like the high quality one that came installed with my Kenmore fridge. Since I last ordered these (8/3/2009), they've dropped around $7 so that's a bonus. I live in Chicago so our water is already pretty clean but has that chlorine smell a little bit from being treated. Living in an older house with older plumbing, I am put at ease with these filters as the water always comes out tasting great and without any smell. Always make sure you run a few gallons through them when you change out you old filter to break them in properly. I think Kenmore has their units programmed to tell you to order every 6 months regardless of use but that's ok with me since I make heavy use of my water filter. I will order these again next time.
