Great product - easy to use

I bought one of these and really liked it so I bought two more. Really easy to setup and use. Turns my regular hose into and automated sprinkler system. I can automatically water areas that my normal sprinkler system doesn't cover. Or if you want to turn on the water and forget about it, it will automatically turn it off.. It's great, I can turn the water on to my garden and leave for work knowing it will turn off automatically when I want.

Simply perfect

Perfect item! Surprisingly solid design for the price. Simple navigation. Enough settings, but not too much to make it too complicated.

Previously I purchased one item to test on my back yard, then after using it for a few weeks, I decided to purchase the same model for my front yard. Now I don't have to worry about watering.

I thought it would be useful to give a few more details about watering options:

HOW LONG: 0 - 240 minutes with 1 minute interval.

HOW OFTEN: every 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 5 days, 6 days, 7 days.

MANUAL: 0 - 240 minutes with 1 minute interval.

Manual mode is managed by a dedicated button, so using it does not affect your automatic settings and they remain unchanged.

When set to start in manual mode, it gives a few seconds before starting. I find it quite useful as my hose outlet is on the other side of the yard, and I have enough time to get of the way.

I used this timer for about a month, so it is hard to say if it will last long. But considering how it appears, I have a strong feeling that it will. Overall I am impressed and can strongly recommend this item to others.

ONE caveat!

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R18RDSDUXLULWE I have replaced my old Orbit 62015 (2-Dial) Timer with this one and found that the old Raindrip-brand 3/4 adapter wouldn't fit, so i had to modify it by grinding down the lip with a Dremel and add a non-standard (thinner) seal. The attached slide-show is of the old type adapter BEFORE modification. The currently sold, redesigned Raindrip adapter seems to be the right fit and you may need to buy one if you are replacing an older timer with your Raindrip system already in place.

The old Orbit timer became leaky after it was left out on a city balcony for several winters (still held up quite well for 5 years.) so it is probably not a good idea to expose them to a freeze.

time saver

I started with 1 water faucet timer to see how this might work. It was so great that I bought 3 more. I set them up with a simple sprinkler system. Now I do not have to spend my summer evenings after work watering the lawn or flower beds. Just a wonderful convenience.

Good value for the money

I bought another version of it, pretty similar but larger and costs $49. It works just fine, connections are good, simple to self install and etc.

I think it is good value for the money.

One dial allows complete timer control functionality. Cycles easily from set clock, set watering time, how often, how long, then run program. A rain delay is built into the run program function. A manual button allows program interruption.
