I ordered this stand because it was unique and not the run of the mill black glass tv stand that everyone gets with their big screen tvs. It was easy to assemble and the top and bottom shelf are very sturdy. The jury is still out on the "hanging" middle shelf. It is very unique but I'm not sure if I should trust my $1000 worth of electronic components to a glass shelf suspended from another glass shelf using some adhesive. (very scary) but all in all a very nice unit. By the way. Just to be on the safe side I assembled the middle glass shelf and instead of suspending it I turned it upside down and use the tubes as legs. (seems much safer and doesn't take away from the design. A little pricy but looks like it will last a very long time.
