excellent upconversion,close to bluray.Other features good to excellent.Terrific price. Eight years ago a similar product cost me close to $800. My only real complaint: unlike my old panasonic burner it does not have the capability of adjusting recording speed to content of movie. It will compensate if movie runs over allotted time, but will not switch to higher recording speed. In other words, a one and a half hour movie will be recorded with the two hour duration as opposed to increasing the recording speed for slightly better image. Fortunately, its hard to tell the difference as the recording quality is so good. Highly recommended

I'M NOT AN ELECTRONICS NERD, BUT THIS UNIT WAS EASY TO SET UP AND USE! SO FAR I'VE ONLY USED THIS TO TRANSFER VHS TO DVD. IT'S EASY TO USE AND PRODUCES HIGH QUALITY COPIES, I'M NOT SURE ABOUT LONG TERM DURABILITY, BUT FOR THE PRICE I WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE THE SQUARETRADE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND STILL HAVE CHANGE FROM $100. SWEET DEAL!!
