An important book that will scare and inform dads of how vital they are to their daughter`s success. We had our third daughter this past year and I will make sure I read again.

This is an excellent book. I recommnend it to any father that is raising a girls. The first chapter does an excellent job a setting the tone. Father's protect your daughters and be strong for them!

I read this book at a time when my 15 year old daughter began getting alot of attention from boys an her interest was equally increasing. I was doing everything I could to keep her on the right track, but I just wasn't sure if I was bein too stricked or not. This book put me at ease and re-iterated some of the things I was already doing and gave me a bunch of new ideas and approaches to take. Our relationship has grown and we are closer then ever. I was able to make her understand that my job as her father is to protect her. She greatly appreciates that and feels very loved. I would highly recomend this book to anyone with daughters especially teens and pre-teens.
I first heard about this book on the Dave Ramsey Show, and decided to pick it up upon finding out we were having a daughter. While nothing in this book is ground breaking, it is a wake up call for fathers to reevaluate how they raise and interact with their daughters. Meeker's style is that of a cheerleader, encouraging fathers to be a loving influence while using anecdotal and research based data to highlight the consequences of not following the plan. Very interesting and inspirational read!
