Excellent Center Channel Speaker

I have owned this unit for about 1 year and a half. It is used with a couple of home made front speakers (3 way with 12's and horn mid and high), polk audio rt20 bookshelfs, and a JBL e250p. The speaker sounds excellent with nearly absolute clarity throughout the volume levels of the amp. The amp is a JVC RX9010-VBK 5.1 surround. The only problem I've had is that this particular speaker overloads the amp above 65 on the volume, so I had to put an inline resistor to keep it from overloading. The resistor does not appear to diminish the sound quality. I'm disappointed to see that JBL discontinued the northridge series because I'd like to match the set with a couple E-90's. The polks are also nice sounding and keep up well with the system. Overall this is an excellent and rather economical center channel speaker. I replaced an MTX center channel speaker which was a good move.

Great Speaker!

Overall sound is great and makes an excellent addition to a home theater system.

Excellent quality and good price

I purchased this center channel speaker to complement my E60 floorstanding speakers in my home theater. I've been very happy with this whole line of speakers. Dialogue in movies is clear, crisp and well balanced to my ear. The appearance is fine (the previous N-series center was rounded and plastic) and construction is solid. I don't believe you can get a better speaker for less then hundreds more than the cost of this speaker.

I bought this center channel for my girlfriend for X-mas...well she loves it...clear crisp vocal...we set up her speakers in the close as we could to be perfect...even tho the center sits a little to high over her floor speakers this center still sounds wounderful..would buy again if anything happened to the one i have
