Kitchen Aid Gourmet Essentials

I love my new cookware. I have an electric cooktop and needed flat bottomed cookware. These items all heat quickly and evenly. They've been easy for me to clean, too.

Great Set of Pots!

I received this set of pots on time and was happy with the prompt delivery.
I really like the look and feel of these pots. They are brushed Stainless Steel, which I have not cooked with before. They are a sturdy make. Two things attract me to this pot. Firstly the base of the pots are sturdy and from reading the technology that went into them, they would be able to distribute the heat very evening on various cooking surfaces. The second thing is the handle. It is a gel based handle that gives easy grip and also insulates the heat. It feel ergonomically designed but it does not state that on the box. the pots are slightly heavy so this is a good addition that alleviates the stress of lifting the pots. I have yet to put them to the test of my rigorous cooking regime so I will update this post when I do.
Other than that, I would recommend this pot for others to purchase, for sure!

Heavy, high quality stainless steel cookware

Over all I am very pleased with the purchase of this cookware. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the stockpot seems to have pitted on the bottom after using it the first time. I did not notice the pitting prior to cooking pasta. I used freshly ground sea salt to season the water. After I emptied the pot the pitting was apparent. I tried bar keepers friend to see if that would help, but it didn't.

I have since used the stock pot without incident. I have also used the 10" skillet to sautee mushrooms and had no problems. Maybe the pitting was on the bottom of the pot when I received them. The set was definitely new, due to the way they are packaged that goes without question.

All in all seems to be a high quality set for the money.

the best present i've ever gotten. they look sharp and heat much more evenly than non-stick pans. i've had no problems with food sticking, and have found eggs are less likely to stick to these pans than any of my previouse teflon pans. clean-up is easy and the sizes are just right for my needs. i will use this set forever.
