WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL

You've got gorgeous music by the best artists in the world! I've given copies to several music-lover friends who were delighted with it, too. I highly recommend this CD.

The name says it all. Vivaldi by Perlman.

It's Vivaldi, there is no need to say anything else. The recording is phenomenal as one would expect from such tallents.

As The Seasons Change

I have to say that this is one of the best live symphony recordings on the market. The way that the Isreal Philharmonic interprets these peices is sheer listening pleasure. The music has depth and interacts on many different emotional levels. It doesn't come across and a live recording till the applause after several selections. Applause is of no bother to this reviewer. After all, music is meant for living!

Deutsche Grammophon recordings have long been known for their outstanding recording quality. IMHO, whatever classical recording your are looking for, if it is available from Deutsche Grammophon, that would always be the recording that I pick!

The best of the best

I've been listening to Vivaldi's Four Seasons on a regular basis since I first "saw" it in Frankfurt, Germany in 1962. It was a black and white film with images relating to the four seasons - matched to Vivaldi's music. I was hooked on Vivaldi from that day forward. I probably have about twenty different recordings by various orchestras. This one is the best one I've heard. If you like Vivaldi, get this recording - it will be at the top of your favorite's list.

Strange But Good

The recording is filled with character, grunting, noises, and the audience applause, ect. I really truly feel that the Italians do Vivaldi the best, so far I found Four Seasons by Pietro Antonio to have that authentic Italian art, warmth, influence, passion, and vigor. This recording qualifies on my list because, even though it's not authentically Italian it still has warmth and passion.
