If your into salsa or any of that type of music you will really enjoy this CD. When I first put into my player I was so surprised at what I heard, I think I even said to myself what a plesant surprise to me ears. Very dancable music, and the lyrics are a plus. I also took it to work and several of my co-workers also commented on the music. One of my favorite CD's.

You cannot even claim to have a collection without THIS! Brilliant! Beyond brilliant!!

This CD is lively, upbeat, and rockin'! A must have if you enjoy Cuban music. As one who has vistied Cuba, this CD takes me back to hanging out in dive bars, searching for great music, big bands, lively older musicians, and dancing in every available space in the club. Another Buena Vista Social Club Masterpiece.... fantastic! I'm running home to light up a Monte Cristo!

You'll never tire of 'A Toda Cuba Le Gusta.'

This CD features significant personnel overlap from the contemporaneous and (at the time) more popular 'Buena Vista Social Club' release. Like many on these pages, I enjoyed both compilations. But 10 years on, it's this one that still resonates. I can pull it out any time and re-discover the joys of its brassy, upbeat tunes. By contrast, my copy of 'Buena Vista' hasn't seen the light of day in years.

The signature tune here is "Habana Del Este." Those horn-centric riffs are intoxicating. In fact, it's still on heavy rotation at many of my local Starbuck's. You'll never tire of 'A Toda Cuba Le Gusta.'

A rousing ensemble recording, A Todo Cuba Le Gusta features a band made up largely of Cuban music elders. As a reflection of their collective experience playing multiple percussion instruments and brightly lit trumpets, the Afro-Cuban All Stars churn with high drama, even while playing music that's paced with extravagant patience. The time signatures overlay and run against each other in a casual trot while the trumpets blare with fat fullness. Add to that the impassioned group vocals and you've got a hard-to-beat Cuban traditional music session. --Andrew Bartlett
