Boston's BA 635

I got these speakers the other day... one word WOW!!!...considering their size, The BA 635 is like a dwarfed Mike Tyson that has more than enough rumble & punch to "KO" the competition. Friends often come over thinking the music they hear is from my Harman Home theatre amp but are often surprised and amused at the sound from these babies. You could sit for hours listening caught up in the perplexing technology!!! I listened to Harman/Kardon's soundsticks (very pretty), JBL's invaders, a whole variety of Creative and Altec Lansing speakers...I Tell you, Boston has created a beast of a sound system with these. In terms of pure performance take my word for it, (except for the bose multimedia speakers@5times the price) NOTHING else comes close to these!!!

I use the a Harmon/Kardon AVR4550 at home. But these little babies I take with me on my travels to compliment my ipod. Balance is superb, Bass is tight and solid. Sound can be a tad bright at times but with the Jazz I listen too, place them in a larger room and be prepared to be amazed.

BA635 by Boston Acoustics is a compact, self-powered speaker system that brings true high fidelity sound to the desktop environment. Simply connect BA635 to any source with a headphone jack or line-level outputs - like a computer, portable CD player, TV, or VCR - and enjoy amazing full-range performance. BA635 is a three-piece system comprised of two micro-sized satellites and a sleek subwoofer. Three channels of amplification are housed in the subwoofer cabinet, one for the subwoofer and two for the satellites. To prevent video interference or accidental disk erasure, the system features MagnaGuard magnetic shielding. The subwoofer uses a 41/2-inch (115mm) bass driver in a vented enclosure. The port is flared at both ends to eliminate audible turbulence. The subwoofer has a special signal-sensing circuit that turns the system on and off automatically for user convenience and a 'set-and-forget' bass level control. The system master volume control is conveniently mounted under the right satellite.
