What a Bargain!

This is the best bag for the money available! Nothing else can be said.

A must for camera-toting outdoors enthusiasts

I absolutely love my Lowepro D-Res 50 All Weather bag! I use it on every camping and hiking trip I take, including a week-long trip to Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park. The all weather cover is a must for outdoors enthusiasts, doing a superb job of keeping drizzle, rain or sleet off your delicate camera equipment. The cover dries quickly after use, and stuffs back into the bag ready for the next use.

The D-Res 50 is larger than its cousin, the D-Res 30, and this was a key issue for me because I also take my Casio Cassiopeia E-115 on hiking and camping trips to take trail and birding notes, record bird song for later identification, etc. I have found that the D-Res 50 comfortably holds both my Kodak DC-265 digital camera, 4-8 spare AA batteries, Kodak lens adapter & one lens, spare CompactFlash card AND my Casio Cassiopeia in its Rhinoskin case without cramping anything and still allowing me to zip the D-Res bag closed. I have done this for a year now with no signs of strain to the D-Res 50 and no damage whatsoever to the delicate equipment I carry inside it.

The D-Res has a belt loop for carrying it on your waist, a handle for casual carrying, and an adjustable shoulder strap. I can comfortably carry the D-Res 50 on my shoulder while wearing a loaded pack, simply by adjusting the D-Res shoulder strap and placing it under my pack strap to prevent sliding. That way my digital camera and PDA are always within easy reach without removing my pack and fumbling around for the proper gear.

I highly recommend this bag, and the entire Lowepro all weather line of bags, to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and wants to take their delicate gear with them to capture memories.

Good bag for a small cam

I purchased this bag for a Sony TRV30 camcorder and overall am happy with it.

Pros:
- small
- light
- weatherproof (havent actually tested it yet, but the retractable hood is a nice touch)

Cons:
- small
- not enough pockets
- when wearing a T-shirt, the hairs on my hands get caught up in the strap attachment (painful and annoying and I am not even that hairy!)

Overall, if the constraints dont scare you away, I think its a pretty nice bag.

Lowepro D-Res 50 is a nice camera bag

This bag is smartly designed...many compartments to put your camera stuff. In my bag, I have just enough room to put my digital camera and a point and shoot film camera in the main compartment (which is separated by a divider). The inside is plush so there will never be damage to your LCD display.

There is also an area in front of the main compartment with two plastic pockets. In one, I have a smartmedia card and extra batteries...in the other, I have jammed in a lens cleaning kit.

I really like the two straps (one shoulder and one for being hand held) and the weather hood that is hidden in the bag for rainy days. The only complaint I have is that the bag takes a dip in the front where the zipper comes down (for style probably...look at the grey area on the photo). If it just came straight across instead of dipping down, there would be more vertical room in the front area.

Overall though, great bag which can hold lots!

This is a SWEET bag.

I just wanted to write about this bag, even though I didn't pay for it, got it as a gift for my birthday. Fantastic. I use it for my digital and my regular camera. It has a great separator in the middle(not one of those cheap velcro deals), and enough pockets to keep filters, film, media cards and everything else secure and organized.
