Amazing!

I love to tune in to Internet radio (which the spiders and snakes of the RIAA and their congressional cronies are trying to kill) and have friends over. These little black speakers are planted unobtrusively planted in the living room, plugged into my laptop on the hearth, with a lightshow filling the screen. My friends ask where the great sound is coming from, and I watch their faces when I point to the laptop and the Monsoons.

I have four Dahlquist DQ-10s, an MK sub and two McIntosh amps, so I have a good benchmark for comparison. Everytime I play my laptop through my little Monsoons, I'm once again awestruck, that this sound is coming out of ...[these] speakers.

Great Speakers

These speakers are worth the money. These things ROCK! My old computer speakers were Altec, which were fair, but compared to the Monsoons, it now seems that I had been listening to my music through a tin can. The sound quality on the Monsoon is great. I wish I had gotten them sooner.

One major flaw

I have had these for 2 years and they are great sounding speakers, except they have one major design flaw. The angle of the speaker is fixed. Changing this angle is essential for optimal sound and I can't believe that Monsoon overlooked this. I think the other models they offer are similar. I've thought of trying to modify them to add a hinge or something, as it still bothers me. I love 'em, but why not make them adjustable?

These speakers kick butt!

I am totally blown away by how good these speakers sound. Talk about powerful. They may be intended for computers, but I think that you can hook these guys up to just about anything putting out music. I plan on using these with my Rio Riot as well. They cost more than your average Computer speakers, but trust me - they are more than worth it. I love 'em!!!

These speakers rock. Was a bit spectacle spending [that amount] on computer speakers, but these are worth every penny and more. A full, rich sound is obtained with these "state of the art" Monsoon speakers. If you try them, you will keep them.
