The Voice Tracker's range of application make it a multipurpose microphone.
The Voice Tracker's unique technology locates a talker, and electronically steers a "listening beam", like an acoustic searchlight, in that direction. This creates spatial filtering; "noise" from other parts of the room is not picked up. This noise reduction, coupled with increased sensitivity since the Voice Tracker's eight microphone elements are utilized continuously and constructively, give the Voice Tracker outstanding range and sound quality. Performance highlights include:
In ASR dictation applications, the Voice Tracker can equal headset performance at ranges of 3 feet or more, even as the dictator moves within a 180 degree field of view. The Voice Tracker array microphone, has been Certified by IBM for use with ViaVoice, and Scansoft for use with NaturallySpeaking.
In recording applications, a Voice Tracker located in the ceiling enabled accurate recording in 20+ ft boardrooms. The Voice Tracker hs been certified by WinScribe and soon will be by FTR Gold. In voice control applications, the Voice Tracker can pickup commands from throughout large rooms. Voice control has been accomplished with 100% accuracy in 22 ft X 17 ft rooms, even with a TV on. The Voice Tracker is Certified by HomeSeer and soon will be by HAL.
The Voice Tracker is a professional grade microphone. It is 18 inches long and fits snugly under (or on top of) a computer monitor. Its output is line level, through a 3.5mm mini-stereo jack, which is plugged into a sound card.
