Fastest way to read your flash memory cards

Wow -- if you want fast, this is the drive to buy. I have a standard USB card reader in my computer that I use to read photos from my camera's compactflash memory card. I just replaced it with this IDE flash card reader, and the difference in speed was impressive.

As a test, I copied a folder with 94mb of picture files using the USB and the IDE drives. The old USB reader took 103 seconds. The Addonice IDE Digidrive took just 53 seconds (using the same PC under the exact same conditions).

The reader installed and worked right out of the box. I didn't need to install any software, and it works perfectly. This reader also handles SD and other format cards, but I only tested with the compactflash. I believe the speed improvement would be about the same for all drive types.

Hightly recommended. If you have lots of large picture (or other) files and hate to wait, this is a great addition to any PC with an IDE controller. Addonics also makes a SATA version, but I have not tried that one yet.
