Very good for smaller brew quantity

This tea-maker is a great size when there are only one or two tea drinkers in the house. My last tea-maker was a gallon size, and the tea always soured before I finished a full pot. The pot does fit in the door, or over the brewer. (This doesn't leave room for the lid or the tea-bag holder, so those get stored separately.)

The only reason I take one star off of this is the arrangement by which the parts are assembled for the actual brewing process. The catcher that holds the tea bags (or loose tea leaves, it is filtered for that purpose)goes in the top of the pitcher. The lid then goes on the top, but not latched in as when you pour tea, and then you have to wedge the assembly into the base of the brewer, which is a little snug. It isn't difficult, just seems more difficult than necessary. Also, the pitcher, lid, and bag holder are not dishwasher safe.

VERY nice product - I love it.

I'm ordering my second Ham-Beach iced tea maker. Same model. It's a truly great machine and the way I go through iced tea, I need something of almost commercial capacities.
I don't use the hot-tea-on-the-ice cubes, but rather run one batch then after letting it cool for a few minutes, add another measure of water and run it through again. Works great.
I had a Mr. Coffee tea maker, but you can read about the typical disasters in other reviews that tell about the Mr. Coffee's. One thing... the Ham-Beach doesn't stain up like the Mr. Coffee.
If you're using bulk loose tea, there's a removable filter screen in the brewing basket, which is in the pitcher, not the maker itself. I don't use the screen since I throw in 3 bags then throw them out so I don't have to clean a screen, but it's a nice touch if you chose to use it.
Why am I ordering another one? The existing one sprung a leak. BTW, there are steel parts on the bottom, which must be kept dry. So if you're using it on a kitchen counter like I am, keep it dry or they'll rust big time. That's the only drawback I can see. That's the only reason why four stars instead of five.

I originally purchased the "other" popular tea maker & returned it before opening it after I read reviews on how it leaks. I was skeptical to try this one because I did not find a review in which green or white teas were used. Making myself a guinea pig, I combined tips from other reviews on how to get perfect tea & rigged the instructions. I usually decaffeinate my tea by performing an initial 20-second brew in a tea cup & discarding the water before starting. The resulting tea is healthy, smooth, pure-tasting, medium-strength, & perfectly sweet (but not your southern sweet tea):

(1) Clean before first use (& after each use). (2) "Max Fill" the base with cool filtered water. (3) Don't use ice. (4) Cover the mesh filter with two tea bags, & place another under the drip spout. I use whole-leaf pyramid tea bags, either H.E.B. Central Market Organics green tea or Adagio silver needle white tea. (5) Push button to auto-brew. (6) When done, add 8 tbs raw turbinado sugar & stir. (7) After 2 mins have passed, refill base & brew again, using the same tea bags. (8) When done, discard tea bags, stir, & let pitcher sit open-topped for 10 mins before chilling in refrigerator. (9) Serve over ice, if desired.

VOILA! PERFECT TEA, with only 3 tea bags! No "plastic" taste, no leaks, no bitterness, no weakness---nothing I've read in other reviews. Enjoy!
