Great way for kids to break onto the gridiron.

Backyard Football is a great way for younger players (Ages 7 to 12) to break into football gaming. Backyard Football offers 85% of the options available in Madden, but presents them in a kid-friendly way. My 8 year old son LOVES this game, and he's not much of a football fan. On offense you have options of 20 or so plays (14 pass, 3 run, FG and punting), and same with defense (Blitz, run, zone or man-to-man, kick return).

The nice thing is that unlike Madden, you don't need to buy a new version each year to feel up to date. Backyard Football represents a nice combination between a hardcore football simulation game and an arcade game. It is kid friendly, and highly recommended for the younger set or those just breaking in to football.
