Sangean Portable Radio perfect for me

I wanted it for running while listening to the radio. I use an IPOD for chosen music but like the radio for NPR etc. The clip holds fast while running; the station doesnt drift at all; it runs on real batteries but has an auto shut off after an hour and a half. I'm 100% satisfied with the purchase.

This little radio is my constant companion on my daily walks. The TV sound capability allows me to listen to the Early Show while I walk. It is interesting that the CBS program is just as enjoyable to listen to as it is to watch on CBS.

The push button preset stations can be accessed without a glance at the dial.

compact and well designed this little gem is well worth it's price. The sound is wonderful and every dial and switch are where they should be.

Sangean DT200VX Perfect for Backpacking

I had previously been backpacking with my old Sony shortwave but needed a replacement and found the Sangean radio mentioned in the backpacking forums so I looked into it. I purchased one and was favorably impressed with the feel and weight. With Lithium batteries it is light enough to carry in my packpack on long hikes.

The reception in the backcountry (places where cell phones never work) was great both day and night. The antenna makes a big difference. The sound from the speaker is great.

Nice radio

It is well made and has a compact size. It performs a lot better than the "radio" feature of the Creative and Sansa mp players that I own.

Portable AM/FM Radio

I have enjoyed my recent purchase of the Sangeon DT200VX portable radio. The sound clarity is great and it fit my needs to the tee. The only function I wished was different is the analog TV tuner. Shortwave or a weather band would be more useful especially since HDTV broadcasting is on the horizon. The TV band will no longer be available after Feb 2009.
