Muppets 3rd Outing

I enjoyed the Muppets as a child and still get an occasional guilty pleasure out of watching them. This isn't their best movie, but it has its moments. Save yourself a few bucks and go buy it @ Wal-Mart for $5.00!!

You guys are too old.

Stop living in the 70's. This movie has the Muppet babies in it. That gave birth to the long running cartoon. I guess you guys were too old by then. The first movie was a novelty, the second was not as good as Manhattan. You hippies must have been pretty high watching those first two movies to think that Muppets take manhattan is inferior to those. This movie is big on relationships and you guys just can't relate.

Excellent movie. It's a tie with the first one and better than the second one. Nuff said.

I THINK MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN DESERVES 3 AND 1/2 STARS. i'VE ALWAYS BEEN A MUPPET FAN. tHIS FILM STARS KERMIT THE FROG, MISS PIGGY, FOZZY BEAR, DR. TEETH, THE ELECTRIC MAYHEM. THIS FILM IS ABOUT WHEN THE MUPPETS GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE THEY WANT TO GET THEIR STARDOM ON BROADWAY WITH A SHOW CALLED MANHATTAN MELODIES. I THINK THEY WEAR FANCY COSTUMES. THE OTHER ONE I WANT TO COMPARE IT WITH IS MUPPETS FROM SPACE. THAT'S ABOUT WHEN THE MUPPETS FIND OUT GONZO IS FROM SPACE AND IT ALSO STARS ANDREA MCDOWELL. WHEN THE MUPPETS FIND OUT GONZO IS FROM SPACE AND THEY GO TO THIS MOTHER SHIP FESTIVAL AND THESE OTHER GUYS THAT LOOK LIKE GONZO ARE SINGING AWARD WINNING SONG, "CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES, CMON." IT IS ALSO KERMITS ANNIVERSARY. YOU CAN ALSO CHECK OUT PEPE PROFILES ON THE DVD. HAVE A GREAT TIME IF YOU BUY THE MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN AND MUPPETS FROM SPACE. Good but not great.

The Muppets Take Manhattan is the third of the Muppet series and probably the third best. I wouldn't say this movie is not fun and enjoyable, just a bit slow for such a bunch of energetic characters. But this is a great family film which makes it special, so I recommend The Muppets Take Manhattan for parents who want a clean-cut movie for their kids, enjoy!

Toddler favorite!

My eighteen month old grandaughter loves this dvd. She calls it "Hey-Ho" after her favorite song in the movie. Tim Curry makes an excellent Long John Silver. Full of great performances.
