KitchenAid showed their committment to quality and customer satisfaction

I received a 4-year old, used red KitchenAid artisan stand mixer as a gift. It was working reasonably well until I accidentally flipped the speed too high while mixing dough. Even though it was for a split-second, it caused some gear or bearing to break, so that it didn't work properly any more. I called KitchenAid customer support to find out how much it would cost me to have it repaired--after all, it was used, and it broke probably due to my misuse, not because of a manufacturing defect. I didn't hide any of the details of my use of the mixer, or that it was old and was a gift. Instead, KitchenAid sent me a brand new replacement mixer (same color), and it arrived within a week. They are paying for the return shipping on the old unit. They took some time to explain proper usage of the unit when making bread dough (five to six minutes maximum mixing time), but I didn't feel they were trying to blame me, just educate me on proper use. I'm blown away by that kind of customer care--they clearly want to make their customers happy and prove that they make quality equipment. And they've earned my brand loyalty because of this.

Wouldn't want to live without it

I purchased my Kitchenaid Artisan three years ago after eyeing them for a couple of years. I am known as being cheap and not wanting to spend a lot of money, so I researched, thought about it, put it in my cart and back on the shelf several times, and finally bit my lip and eventually headed for the checkouts. I bought my mixer for $279, and cringed as I did because I had never spent that much money on a kitchen appliance before (besides the big ones, such as refrigerators, etc). However, I have not looked back since then and I have not regretted my decisions one single day since purchasing it. I LOVE IT! (If I could put that in enormous font, I would!!!) I couldn't survive without it, and I don't cook as much as the average wife. It cleans easily, runs great, and is simple to operate. I have had NO problems with it. I was recently visiting my dad and was amazed that my stepmother did not have one, especially since she is a fantastic cook and in the kitchen much more than I am. I decided to purchase one for her as a "thank you" for caring for our children while my husband and I were on vacation. I hope that she loves it as much as I do. Her life in the kitchen is soon to change, and she will wonder how she ever survived without it!!! There is something to be said about a product that some cheapy like me will purchase twice!

Kitchenaid is the best!

I have had a Kitchenaid mixer for decades. It finally quit. I am retired which allows me the time to bake and cook a lot now. I don't know what I would do without my mixer. The new one is a lovely cheerful buttercup color and I know the quality is there. I am very pleased. I could have purchased it locally but this price was a lot better and the selection of color was stellar.
