This is the same product that you can buy at your local drug store and it works the same - that is you take it and the symptoms of acid reflux disappear, at least most of the time. I'm taking Prilosec under doctor's supervision and I would certainly consult a physician before taking this product long term. Prilosec rocks! I have acid reflux.
